There is, and always be two parties in the race. Unless you're modern day Germany and you have a strong Green party, and even that sack of fools have gone to prominence and failed to do anything because everything left actually stops when they get the chance to do something.cakes wrote: Thu Jul 25, 2024 6:49 amI had this argument with friends when Bush Jr. was president. Was it really worth voting for Nader to send a message? Absolutely not. It contributed to this fucking mess.
That's about the size of it really, although neither of the two main parties resemble each other in their classical senses anymore. The Lib Dems performance suggests they've regained some trust since their disastrous getting into bed with the Tories in 2010, but they won't be a legitimate candidate for government in my lifetime at least.losthighway wrote: Thu Jul 25, 2024 7:42 am I wonder how our UK FMs see this. Is it really just Labour and Tory parties with other groups syphoning off some votes, or do the other parties play a bigger role than that?

Sarcasm aside, I think that was pretty apropos.hbiden@onlyfans.com wrote: Thu Jul 25, 2024 12:14 pmamazingcakes wrote:Chuck Todd said that Harris' address in Wisconsin was like "crackers at the Ritz."
You realize of course that pretty much every country has elections that they say validates their "Democratic process" including the USSR and North Korea. Thinking that any of this is special or promotes freedom by it's very existence is a fallacy. So in a year, where I am being presented with a populist moron, and a lackey that has been foisted on us by wealthy sponsors, both of which have already tried their hand in making me miserable for at minimum four years, honestly fuck off.Lu Zwei wrote: Thu Jul 25, 2024 6:56 amThere is, and always be two parties in the race. The UK has a ludicrously antiquated electoral system which fits in with the general Renaissance Fair vibe of England at times.losthighway wrote: Thu Jul 25, 2024 7:42 am I wonder how our UK FMs see this. To have a real third party candidate, there needs to be a viable third party. But we are stuck in the dichotomy of left vs right here in America. It's going to take quite a lot to get a viable third party. You'd think that the GOP going full MAGA would have the moderates looking to split, but I can see them joining the Democratic party before that even happening.zorg wrote: Thu Jul 25, 2024 1:19 pmYou realize of course that pretty much every country has elections that they say validates their "Democratic process" including the USSR and North Korea.
