Damn, owen, your parents were rock stars!


Crazy part is that picture looks like it could've been taken in Williamsburg yesterday. Except your parents look like they'd bathed in the past week.

How old are these (and you, i suppose)? Your parents look way hipper than mine ever were.

I am 27, so the one with my Mom was from 1980, and the other is most likely 78 or 79. I actually have a ton of photos, I got a giant box from my Grandmother (lots of this stuff I have never seen) and we are working on a big photo thing for my Mom's birthday coming up. If you are interested in seeing more I can post some, I just didn't want to take over the thread.

My folks were pretty young when they had me (21 and 24), Dad was a budding photographer, theres some shots he took of Mick Jagger and Lou Reed in this box somewhere. Grandma and Grandpa were pretty hip as well, really into the civil rights movement, and immigrant workers. They weren't all for it, but were "friendly" with The Weatherman and Black Panthers.

I am having a ball going through all this family history at the moment, its really amazing.
