I was listening to Strangeways a little earlier, and "Death of a Disco Dancer" came on. What a beautiful, sad song. At one point, Morrissey's ability to advocate for, and channel the sadness of the people the world spit on was unparalleled.

Glass' 1000 Airplanes on the Roof on YouTube because my CD of the score is in storage and it's not on Spotify.

I drove a little while last night to watch the piece staged in a hanger directly beneath the tail of the Spruce Goose. Had been worried about the sound - "The acoustics were like a fucking airplane hangar" - but it was great.
