Yeah, I gave it a read. It's full of unsupported generalizations, misogyny, lies, meaningless "facts", double standards, whining, moaning, bitching, complaining, kvetching, and maybe one or two valid points. The dontmarry.com message boards are some of the worst I've ever seen on these internets. I clicked through a few posts, and it's the most pathetic bunch of misogynistic garbage. The first post, for example, is from a female poster asking what people think about Martha Stewart, being a divorced woman, a CEO, an ex-con, etc. etc. The replies would be funny if they weren't so sad. The first reply: "Why is it that whenever broads show up here, they either bring shame, intellectual whoredom, or hollywood gossip?" This same poster dares to come back later to say: "Is the implication here that I attacked you? If so, how exactly?" Amazing! Another poster responds: "Ahh, I dont think so! The reason why you ask for our opinion is most likely because you want confirmation that we are just a bunch of misogynists." Hey, confirmation received! The real hilarity is that half these douchebags then start yakking about Martha Stewart, while the other half maintain that no men care about Martha Stewart, celebrity gossip, or even television at all. Way to stay 'on-message', jerks!

Crap. No Waffles.

Who cares about the boards there? Of course it's a bunch of guys being dicks, what else would you expect? I'm talking about the actual piece the guy wrote. It makes a lot of sense and is pretty spot on in a lot of places I think. Sure there's a lot of opinion in there, but it's just some dude writing about something he feels strongly about. Farenheit 9/11 was full of unsupported generalizations, lies, meaningless "facts", double standards, whining, moaning, bitching, complaining, kvetching, and maybe one or two valid points as well but it was still enjoyable and made me think.
I'm not saying all marriages are a bad idea, I'm just saying you gotta REALLY weigh out the pros and cons.
I have so many friends who get married and they have no idea WHY they got married.
'It's just what you are spossed to do'
Fuck that.

Well, for one thing, I might expect some debate and disagreement. The unanimity of thought on those boards leads me to believe that it's probably aggresively moderated. I could be wrong, but that's the signs. Anyway, fine, you didn't endorse the boards, good.

Disagree mostly, but don't want to drag things further off topic by getting into it.
but it was still enjoyable and made me think.

A redeeming quality that dontmarry.com utterly lacks.
I'm not saying all marriages are a bad idea,

Yet the website you endorse goes by the name of dontmarry.com (dontmarry = Don't marry = Do not marry). Unless I'm wrong, and it's just written by a guy named Don T. Marry.
I'm just saying you gotta REALLY weigh out the pros and cons.
I have so many friends who get married and they have no idea WHY they got married.

OK, yes, fuck getting married because that's what you're "supposed to do". Yes, weighing pros and cons on any major life decision is a good thing to do. Yes, there are cons to getting married. And yes, for some people, getting married is a bad decision. But this guy isn't urging you to weigh the pros and cons. He wants you to just look at the cons - he exaggerates some of them, makes others up, all the while claiming he just wants to educate you. Early on, he claims "The intent is not to dissuade men from marrying[.]", but the name of the website is dontmarry.com, for Christ's sake!

Dishonest Crap.

Sweet fancy Moses. This is insane. But in a good way (you are serious, are you? That's some fast foot-work).

Congratulations then! I plan on spending the rest of the day with a goofy grin on my face. My absolute best to you both.

no, dumbass, fuck you. it's not what they're "spossed"(sic) to do, it's what they want to do. there's a big difference.

Your "input" here is not necessary as they are adults who have made a decision and they don't need some fucking troll "naysaying" that, you imbecile.

If you think for a minute that you're being helpful, you are sorely mistaken.

you are just being rude and shitty. wish them well, or fuck right off.

sincerely,
