Kallikak Family

I second this...

Just picked up the new Black Dice and I'm really digging it. Best since Beaches and Canyons....this is a very accessible record for BD...it's almost pop....well, maybe not.

I am excited to hear(but have not yet):

The Calexico/Iron and Wine collab
new Animal Collective
new Tujiko Noriko
new Broadcast

Seconded, this is a very good record.

Agreed.

Has anyone listened to the Todd release Purity Pledge on Southern? It's a Craig Klaus' (ex-Hammerhead) project. Do yourself a favor and make a purchase. I don't know about a lot of things, but I know noise.

Has no one heard or should I say gotten completely encapsulated by Wilderness' self titled album this year? I can't stop getting lost in this album. Especially the song "Post Plethoric Rhetoric".

I can't believe you guys like Jesu. Are they good on record or something? I saw them a few months ago at a festival and walked off during the second song. It was two slightly embarrassed looking gentlemen with guitars and a laptop. It was not good.

on the whole, i like the new Mahjongg LP a lot... looking forward to hearing the new Broadcast... that Xiu Xiu record ain't too shabby... also, the new Colleen CD is pretty good... my friends here in Milwaukee put out a reissue funk/soul 45 of this song "Ooh Baby" by an obscure group named Pamoja -- it's very nice. probably my favorite record so far this year though is by the Budos Band on Daptone Records.
