The Electrical forum is my only guilty pleasure (that I am telling YOU about, anyway...).

None of my music ever makes me feel guilty. Most I like a lot and some I even love to death. Some I buy and end up not liking as much. None of it gives me guilt, but then again I am the Jewish half of our Catholic/Jewish marriage.

I am actually listening to Billy Joel right now. He is responsible for more crap than most other musicians could even dream of, but he's written some really great tunes. I enjoy every one of his songs that I have on my computer right now:
An Innocent Man
Big Shot
For the Longest Time
It's Still Rock and Roll
Just the Way You Are
Keeping the Faith
Movin' Out
My Life
New York State of Mind
Only the Good Die Young
Piano Man
Say Goodbye to Hollywood
Scenes From an Italian Restaurant
Summer, Highland Falls (a personal favorite, really a very lovely song)
The Stranger
You May Be Right

I started the C/NC on this guy and have already caught a lot of shit for admitting to liking him. I'm not going to deny it, though.

I also like listening to The Rapture's Echoes even though I really don't think they're a good band. I dig !!!'s first record completely without guilt (I've been into them for a few years) but I don't like their new one as much.

peter gabriel(even that old genesis stuff)
kylie minogue's "fever"
duran duran
the darkness
phil collins

i used to be very pissed at peter gabriel because when he stepped away from genesis, he opened the door for phil collins to do what i thought to be really bad music, but now i thank mr gabriel for having the foresight and conviction to do what i would have urged him not to.

kylie, when that "cant get you out of my head" video came out, i was in love, so i snuck in and bought the album...it is one of the best pop dance albums ever and i can only hope that one day i can play bass for her.

duran duran, the reflex, notorious, ordinary world, rio? need i say more?!

the darkness, they where great live.

Ice T - 'Rhyme Pays' & 'Power'

Shit! Nothing to feel guilty about there as far as I'm concerned.

you shut your bleeding cake-hole. roland is not an animate person, he is a box; a machine; a tool (in every sense of the word).

Taco Bell -- my palate and sense of self-worth are better tuned, but it's cheap and easy.

Tool. My favorite music to listen to at the gym.

Tool and maybe the "White Pony" by the Deftones. I think that's a pretty good record to elliptical-machine/fake run to. I feel pretty guilty about those two bands. They're so white and mad, those young men.

What some may think as a guilty pleasure but aren't to me:
Soundgarden and Pearl Jam. Yep, Pearl Jam. I like them a lot. So earnest and completely without a notion that this big, massive "rock" could be considered anachronistic to some. I think it's great.

I guess that's it.

Should I feel bad for liking that one En Vogue song that has goes like, "What's it gonna be, cause I can't pretend? Don't you wanna be more than friends?"

I don't think so!

Ike
