I put on Trapdoor Fucking Exit in the darkroom two weeks ago just to see what people's reactions would be.
All the students I like thought it was cool, and all the annoying ones thought it was too noisy.
Maybe this week I will play Tusk.

Good grief, some of the other bands people have listed here are like a who's-who of the bands that played at my university every other week. Simon from Loves Ugly Children now has a fantastic band called The Subliminals -I'll pop a couple of tracks on the EAforums email for a taster, but please buy from SmokeCDs or Flying Nun if you like their stuff-
Dead C are a great band, I've enjoyed many a summer -or winter for that matter- evening watching them at the Dux de Lux in Christchurch NZ. And Bruce Russell is a very nice man.
Not crap.

The only one I have is "DR503" and it really hit me hard when I bought it years back. A friend of mine said they are really into overloading tiny amps and get some of their excellent guitar sounds that way. Not crap.

Not Crap!
I got into the Dead C about a year ago and had little trouble buying up most of their CDs. The only one I couldn't track down was Harsh 70s Reality which some kind soul from The Fall forum burnt for me.
I remembered I bought many of their CDs easily enough from Amazon marketplace sellers. I just checked and they've even got Harsh 70s which was impossible to get a year ago.
Amazon also have:
TFE
Whitehouse
The Damned
Tusk
&
Dr503c (at a ridiculous price!)
