i like it lots!

favourites include Stars of the Lid, Growing & the generally most of the other stuff on Kranky. Mirror/Andrew Chalk & Eno ease me into a nice pass-out fug too...

There's some guy from Birmingham, England called Chris Herbert that some of you dudes may have heard of as well... 8)

The other Gate CD that Table of the Elements put out, titled The Dew Line, is a lot more 'ambient' than The Monolake though it's still maybe not quite what I would consider 'ambient' music, like Eno's Discreet Music for example. It's still heavily distorted-guitar-and-feedback based but it creates an 'ambient' atmosphere I guess, not unlike Flying Saucer Attack.

I supported The Dead Texan recently, they were awesome.

What do the Fripp & Eno sessions count as?
My pretty pony! Why, Zorak, why? You could have had any woman you wanted! But you chose the woman I love almost as much as I love myself! You ruined my life, you ruined her life, and now, I'm going to ruin your life!!!

The Cube Cinema in Bristol. Which is a really great place to play if any of you plan to tour over here.

in fact I have a recording of my performance from that night, I could stick it in the EA shared gmail account if anyone was interested in hearing it. ie buy my records / give me money / sell me your wives*.

Somebody's mentioned it already, but the last Eluvium record is one of my favorite records. Had a chance to catch him live a few years back and he pulls off a good show for an ambient record.

I have yet to hear this, but William Basinski's Disintegration Loops seems to be a recommend from everybody (all the more reason to stay away from it..), but I have to say, I'm a bit interested. Its on my list of things to watch for in the used CD bin.

I have to say, I'm not all a fan ambient music, and I don't fill my head with this stuff, but it naturally seems to come up in my own music as well. (http://www.myspace.com/folksandpeas)
