I know that sounds fucking retarded. For those of you out there that are exactly like me (god I hope not) you know what I'm talking about.

You're not retarded...I thought the same thing. I was shocked to see them die.

Some robot Judge: Silence! Or I will hold you in contempt of court!

Some robot prisoner: I have nothing but contempt for this court!

...That's showing that robot judge.

I can't remember the exact wording, but the best scene is when Starscream is about to get coronated and a newly reformed Megatron shows up and Starscream says: "Megatron....is that you?" and he responds "I give you one guess" and blows Starscream to ashes! I thought that was the coolest thing ever when I was a kid.

Also, this movie was set in 2005!

Lastly, on a sad note I don't know how many of you have heard about this.
Fuck!

If so, I cannot remember what that cry might have been.

It's probably some sort of code.

Optimus Prime often was heard to say "Autobots: Transform and roll out!" I'm not sure if this is what you were thinking of, though, as they had no equivalent to, say, Billy Batson's exclaiming "SHAZAM!" before transforming into Captain Marvel.

I was really bitchy on New Year's Eve last year when i realized that it was 2005 and i still wasn't living in a transformable Autobot city like Metroplex or Omega Supreme.

That Michael Bay live-action Transformers movie is going to completely blow.

By the way, no mention of the kiler soundtrack other than "Dare to Be Stupid?" Let's not forget those great songs by Stan Bush, "The Touch" (which was used in Boogie Nights in the scene where Dirk and Chest are trying to cut a demo) and "Dare" (Which is covered in spectacular fashion by Bloomington's The Sump Pumps).

my friends and I had a brutal argument about the transformers' sound they made when they transformed.
group 1 argued that it was a couple of decending sounds, ex:
ee-oh-oh-oh, ee-oh-oh-oh
group 2 argued that the sound went up at the end, ex:
ee-oh-oh-ee-oh-ee
I am not sure we came to a conclusion. some even said that the sound changed based on the transformer.
can anyone confirm or deny these arguments?

In the series, MEGATRON would scream "Deceptacons! Trans - FORM!"
Optimus as his counterpart would simply (yet horsely) shout "Autobots, Transform."
It really was as simple as that. Still it was thrilling every time.

Yeah i still do that a lot to this day. I used to love doing it whilst trying to transform the toys really quickly. I think i could get it down to only having to repeat the sound effect about 6 times with some of them. Not with JAZZ though. He was way to fiddly to transform that quick.

SOUNDWAVE was always my favourite too. He had 5 tapes with the coolest names for christ's sake! RUMBLE, RAVAGE, BUZZSAW, FRENZY and LASERBEAK. He was the first one i got. My mum got it for me as a present when i was in hospital. Best present ever. I still have all my transformers, and in their boxes too. Even a boxed METROPLEX and SCORPONOK. As far as kids' shows go, i think it was and always will be my favourite. Same for the toys.

If some of you guys have only seen the movie, i would recommend watching the series instead. It is far far better.

For the record, the band i recently joined (as mentioned in another thread) that is called ZANGIEF, was very nearly called LASERBEAK.

Salut transformers and your brilliant names. Salut!

The sound was both. Ascending or descending tones... depending on whether the transformer was entering or leaving robot mode.

Buzzsaw, are you named after the cassette Decepticon associated with Soundwave?

Ravage was probably my single favorite transformer.

I killed Shockwave with a combination of model glue, match heads, rubber bands, and spray paint. And a lighter. I melted that fucker right there in the driveway.

Transformers ruled! Yes they started off as a heavy-handed GoBots ripoff... but they so dominated!

I still have a bunch of them. Including the entire set of Destructicons.

"Bruticus hate Cybertron! Bruticus hate all of you!"

:)

Transformers = NOT CRAP!!

It went both up and down depending on how many were transforming simulataneously or even on what particular Bot was doing it. I think it has more of a kee-koh-ko-koh-koh-kooh than an ee-oo etc etc.

I really did watch that show AND the videos (which i still have) a hell of a lot.

And yeah, there was a dinobot called SLAG. That rules.

I just remembered that 5 years ago my younger brother had a ton of orginal Transformers that he ordered off of Ebay and paid a lot of money for, and then one day his girlfriend got pissed and smashed everyone of them.....it was very sad...
