The Poppy Family: Which Way You Goin', Billy? Not so much that song as the weirder album cuts. Really freaky, pretty pop music by the guy who'd one day write "Seasons in the Sun" and his hot-as-shit wife. Kim Cooper's essay on the Poppy Family, "Patridge Family + Manson Family = Poppy Family," in Bubblegum Music is the Naked Truth is highly recommended, one of the funniest bits of music writing I've ever seen.
