22Did ya'all get that email..that everything is screwed up and they're sending the 8 CDs all together this week and the 8 12"s all together next week? I actually lucked out and got the CDs today. 2wice is a great song, Period is a great Prescott spotlight track, but other than it isn't that special - I didn't like On/Off/On, but I like some of these tracks okay. Of course, I've only listened to 'em twice, maybe they'll grow on me.
Also! They said these'd be copy protected, but I had no problem putting them through iTunes into my iPod.

25"Careening with Conviction" is one of the best songs these guys have ever written.
How is this possible? That they are so great?
Wow.

27Hot-God-Damnit!
I got my cd's.
I have to admit that I was a little weary innitially about this subscription thing.
But after I recieved them, and listened, I realized that this was the first time in quite a while that I had simply sat down to listen to music.
Not listening to music while driving, or reading a book, but just listening. This is what's good about 7" records, and this. You have to listen. You're not going to pop the thing in and go do your fucking taxes or some other stupid shit.
Anyways the songs are great. My Personal favorite at this point is Nancy Reagan's Head.

28Yeah, you're absolutely correct. That's something I think the death of vinyl really took away; forced listening. 7's by default, like you said, but also having to get up and flip over a record, and confront the music instead of putting on an 80 minute CD or a 20 gig iPod on shuffle.
But anyway....Nancy Reagan's Head has REALLY grown on me too. What is that, a banjo?? It's a neat and unexpected song.

30Still no vinyl here either.
Oh well. I got the whole album via soulseek. Someone should do a CRAP/NOT CRAP on The Obliterati.
