i just fired up my old reslo with a ampex 351 pre and it sounded great.

I actually bought the mic a couple years ago but never got a chance to use it as i need to change connectors and then didnt have a pre with enough gain to run it.
they are still reasonably cheap but i think the beatles connection puts them over what they are "really" worth.
