I heard the staff at Electrical plans to throw a "Happy 500 Posts" party for the first one to climb that mountain including cake, beer, and live entertainment. I am sure we would all like to congratulate our Tim and all his achievements (..achievement).

Is this true? If so, does anyone know when it is planned for and who can attend?

I think there should be a “poetry reading” at Borders or something where Tim Midgett reads all his ranks back to back, in full–blown fake Italian of course. He could wear those Bob Newhart glasses or maybe there could be guest renderings of his oeuvre by other ranking luminaries. We could call it: “WTF, An Evening with tmidgett…” I would especially look forward to this classic:

Maybe Tim will get to 499 posts then hang up his keyboard, going out on top and in style. I tried to think of an athlete that this might resemble, but couldn’t. Maybe Michael Jordan? No wait, if he were Jordan, he would un-retire, re-register as “The Midge,” make a few half-assed ranks and retire again. Then he would be named forum General Administrator and subsequently be fired for insufficient posts or gambling away the forum’s bandwidth to an online casino, or something like that.
