I can't say he's my favorite player any longer, but I wouldn't mind seeing Bonds break Aaron's record. I think I would enjoy it. I would enjoy the foaming at the mouth of would-be analysts as much as the actual breaking of the record itself.

I don't mean anyone here when I say 'would-be analysts,' though watching andyk foam at the mouth over it would be entertaining.

Bonds getting shit for doing such incredible things is retarded. He took drugs. Whoop-de-shit. The best pure hitter in my lifetime. Nobody else has even been close. A few weeks ago he swung and missed three times in one at-bat. He hadn't done that in almost three years.

"Pure hitter" doesn't really jive with the amount of horse testosterone coursing through his veins.
