What's the pickup complement, Scott? Is that really a Teisco pickup there? Also, what's going on there with the neck pickup? I'm curious.

And how often do you have to sharpen/balance the blade?

Pickups are two different model Tesico gold foils (one in the neck and one in the bridge that even has adjustable pole piceces!) and the mid pickup is one of Kevin's new 4-conductor TB-1000-style pickups.
That's one of the things it was down there for, the installation of that pickup, along with the pro painting of the body which was previously painted with house paint and a paintbrush (by the guy I bought that body from).
The neck pickup is angled like that because I tried moving it all around and in all different positions and whatnot, and that's where it sounded the best. It maybe looks a little off and all, but the sound is what matters most, so that's that...
Kevin said he wound the 1000 pickup so that when it was split, acting as a single-coil (which is how I'll probably primarily use it), the resistance was in line with the Teiscos, which are very low, like 5K or something like that.
It will drive me nuts that once it gets here, I'll still have to lock down what I'm gonna do as far as onboard electronics, and then get it in there, before I can rock it out through an amp. I'm just psyched to be getting it back!
