My walls are bare.

I should get your address. Seriously. I have so much of my art on my walls. Don't worry, its fairly minimalist. And good, too.

Also, friends stuff. Also, Starshaped Press posters (Shellac, Sinister Luck Ensemble). Also photos.

My most prized decoration, aside from friends' excellent paintings, is a blown up Pettibon piece from Double Nickels.

"Hey Elvis. Elivis! Can you hear me? A young girl killed herself because you had her for a night and couldn't return her love. Why don't you have them write a song about that?"

Soon, a Fox/Seagull stack poster.

Art prints and photographs in the living room. Some old euro versions of film posters in the bedroom (Jules Et Jim for her, Solaris for me).

I've a weird fetish for these too and have a number of them in frames around the flat. A friend collects old classical records and sends them up when he comes across them - the Czech label Supraphon used to put out old jazz and classical discs from behind the iron curtain and the 60s and 70s releases come in these fantastic, slightly sinister pop-art sleeves.

I have a ton of my own photos and art projects hanging up. The only things that aren't ones I made are a big painting in my kitchen my good friend made just after college and "Larry the accordian player," the only photograph I've ever bought.

At least 4 years of art school got me something.

burun wrote:I have a bunch of Steve Keene paintings. Most are his album cover paintings, but I have a few of the larger ones. Sadly, the one I had of the Brooklyn Bridge with the Steely Dan quote was taken by one of my houseguests.

Who was this houseguest? I'd like to know who would do such a thing.

burun wrote:In addition to those, I have a painting of Hank Williams (by Jon Langford) that I love dearly. An Archer Prewett Funny Bunny in Chicago silkscreen print. A Brannock Device, a Dont Walk sign (sic), my seat from the first crew boat I ever rowed in, A Skin Graft Irritational poster, a Pine Tar .406 poster.

I would totally have a Jon Langford painting if they weren't so expensive. Totally worth it but...yikes!

I have a framed Chris Ware original strip. A John Cage poster from one of his last NYC shows. And an African talking drum because I didn't have tabletop space for it.
