On one hand she's a decent looking girl.

On the other hand her songs are all uniformly soulless and depressing, dealt as middle-class 'smarts' when in fact it's just whiny white-girl moaning about the most asinine subjects on the face of this earth. Worse still, when I visited Canada it was on the radio non-fucking-stop amongst all the terrible pompous soft rock bilge they constantly play. Avril Lavigne is terrible, utterly utterly terrible. i was pretty freaked out when learning that the town near DC (named Bowie) is pronounced "Booey". but who in their right mind would say "Bough-y" like avril did, eh?

if it helps any, Bowie fabricated the name anyways, because his real name, David Jones, was already taken by Davy Jones... and other than his mingling with NIN in the 90's, Bowie hasn't really done much of anything noteworthy during her lifetime. she is only seven, remember.

i would say cut the girl some slack. seriously, how many people mispronounce MacKaye (as Mc-Kay) or think Guy rhymes with shy? and those two actually *matter*!
