Yes, this kind of booty-call is CRAP. I've been in this situation and it ended terribly.

But if two people have an understanding and have the same expectations, I think it's fine. I've also been in this situation. It worked just fine.

in some ways i am a very self-absorbed person, but i'm also exceptionally open to many people and things. my capacity for responsiveness, for living in the moment, is well above average. it's one of the things that's made me a good artist, being myopic but responsive and suggestible.

what i meant by "most women can't satisfy me" is that i need a lot of reassurance and most women haven't been able to give me this.

oh, and i don't think i'm a twit, but i bet daniel quinn doesn't consider himself a bad writer, so who knows?

thank you for your $.02, sunlore, but i can assure you, i don't wank myself to sleep most nights (not these days anyway ---- which isn't to say i'm gettign laid all that much, in case you really care).

things are just very complicated for me. i've got a lot going on. why should it seem silly that "most women" don't satisfy me enough -- intellectually, emotionally, and sexually -- that i would put aside all my other interests to pursue a long-term relationship?

Thanks, Connor, but what i meant is, for me, a "booty call" is something of a consolation, for the lack of reassurance i'd be getting if i was in an okay (but not etirely fulfilling) relationship.
