Minimal, and more like notices of upcoming TAPE OP conferences, gear buying opportunities, etc. I've been subscribing for eons, certainly since well before they started sending the notices, and my experience has been that they don't flood your inbox with bullshit and what little they do send is actually relevant and even useful.

Oh, and the magazine is truly one of the best printed recording resources you could ever hope to read. Ditto for the book, which collects some of the best interviews and articles from the early issues, and is quite reasonably priced. (It was put out by Feral House and is available on the website, as well as online bookstores and brick 'n mortar places as well.) The website even has a bonus articles page listing lots of interviews and articles that didn't make it into the printed version for one reason or another.

I still need one of their t-shirts....
