Hooray! Mine came today and I read it cover to cover in one sitting. Thoroughly enjoyed the Memphis/Big Star feature.

So nice. Thankyou Tape Op!

What's the junk mail like?

Minimal, and more like notices of upcoming TAPE OP conferences, gear buying opportunities, etc. I've been subscribing for eons, certainly since well before they started sending the notices, and my experience has been that they don't flood your inbox with bullshit and what little they do send is actually relevant and even useful.

Oh, and the magazine is truly one of the best printed recording resources you could ever hope to read. Ditto for the book, which collects some of the best interviews and articles from the early issues, and is quite reasonably priced. (It was put out by Feral House and is available on the website, as well as online bookstores and brick 'n mortar places as well.) The website even has a bonus articles page listing lots of interviews and articles that didn't make it into the printed version for one reason or another.

I still need one of their t-shirts....

Got mine, the first piece of mail I've recieved under my pseudonym, Rex Steel.

I'm using it all the time now. How often does opening the mail make one feel more manly?

Got mine the other day, it's already given me ideas.

It's good just reading about the techniques different engineers have employed.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I missed the replies - I've been away at the AES show in Austria. Good to know that people are enjoying the mag - tell your friends!

We were just talking about a European Tape Op Con this week - it would be next year at the earliest. Have to get the magazine on it's feet first!
