My reaction is definitely umm.. mixed. For those who haven't heard it, I suggest you live the rest of your life that way. Trust me.

Its not a bad album at all. I didnt go into listening to it with any expectations. No, its not as good as the 3 original albums, but for what it is (Pop at age 60, mind you), its pretty good. Some silly lyrics here and there, but a good amount of energy. Steves production really lends the band a helping hand. A huge drum sound to boot too.

Sorry about all the bass comments before. I fixed the EQ on my speakers and found Watt. The bass is very low and rumble-like (played with fingers, right?), which works for them since the guitars are so sharp and high on the treble. Helps balance out the mix.

The song "The Weirdness" is like psychedelic lounge music. Pops voice shines on that, and the sax fits right in. That for me was the unexpected hit of the album.
