All those phone calls that serve as interludes on that album; conversations between Doc and the police department regarding the Crucifucks/MDC show flyers and "hundreds of kids from all over the state" showing up. It's been years, but I still chuckle every time he tells the cop, "You people should have a bit more pride in your job and not go so out of your way to make fools of yourselves." The cops replies, "Well... that's a matter of opinion."

"No, it's a matter of intelligence."

I can't say the same for any of the Snoop Dogg interludes.

I don't know if I've said this before or not, but the Crucifucks were a great band, and I've been listening to their first two albums - well, "Our Will Be Done" - on a regular basis.

Both albums are marvelous, but in different ways. Especially "Wisconsin," though I love the first record too. What's so bad about the riffs? They're great and the drumming on the first album is fantastic. makes me proud to be from michigan.

Whoever said they were a shit version of the Meatmen has NO idea what they were talking about.
Life...life...I know it's got its ups and downs.

Well...yeah, Doc is or was nuts - a casual parsing of the lyrics for "Wisconsin" would tell you that...but I don't know him, so therefore I can listen and really dig it.

Is the guy really that insane? I've heard a lot of disturbing stories about the dude by now, and I just have no idea if any of them are true.

I don't want to talk shit. He is a guitar genius. We used to be friends. I ran that webpage he used to have. I will tell stories over PM though.

Madison WI 1984, there was some Rock against Reagan tour with MDC headling. They came through Madison and the show was on the steps of the State Capitol on the State St. side. The Crucifucks were along for part of the tour. It was so great to see Doc hurling his body over and over onto the concrete, while a crowd, mostly composed of hippies, activists and curious onlookers, were shocked of such manic behavior and self abuse. The band just killed that day.

Doc was a bit nuts, but he was so friendly all the times I hung out with him.
