everything in my right ear is replaced momentarily by a single frequency, a sinewave, and it's not the same frequency every time. over the course of the next couple seconds, the single-frequency ringing fades out and the normal world fades in. this has happened to me probably 20 times in my life, though it wouldn't surprise me if it was closer to 30.


it could have something to do with your blood pressure.

This is a subject that is worrying me more and more lately tho (largely as my band and the bands I do sound for seem to be getting louder and louder). Anyone reccomend some really good reasonable priced earplug?

I had (and lost) a pair of these that I really liked. They don't block all the HF like standard foam plugs, but they're like $20 or so.

The combo earplug/headphone things they have look interesting too. I was thinking that combined with some earmuff style protection, they might be good for mic positioning on drums and other loud sources....
