I think they've been sketchy since (Iggy &) The Stooges broke up. Even the good solo records (The Idiot, Lust for Life, New Values) are pretty average lyrically if you focus on the words.

i mean, if those songs were put on one album and sounded good and not like bootlegs or demos it'd be a fucking killer album.
but alas, i'm stuck with my bootlegs and demos.

That would be really great. But, isn't or wasn't there quite a bit of animosity between the Ashetons and James Williamson, and wasn't that at least part of the reason why the Stooges broke up in the first place? And isn't that why they aren't playing anything from Raw Power on their tour?
