The For Carnation lacking power? Blasphemy! Its an exercise in restraint and beauty. I would also argue that McMahan's singing voice got a lot better (i.e. more confident) during the For Carnation years. That ST record wasn't that long ago; its entirely possibly Slint reunion could be half decent.

Maybe they'll finally get an interested female singer to sing, but she'll be so domineering and they'll be so complacent that it will sound like an art-rock spoken-word Enya with all the new age trappings.
