I hate when I own a record for a long time and don't know that there is a negative track. Then again, I'm excited to get 'Screamin' and Hollerin' the Blues' out tonight to look for the hidden tracks.

Versus' 'Two Cents Plus Tax' and the new Pajo record both have negative bonus tracks.

I thought he was making a joke, saying some of the tracks are shit, hence the quotes. I could be wrong though.

I checked it out last night. Discs 2 and 3 each have two negative tracks. To add to my stupidity, they're actually listed on the track list label that came on the back of the box as:
-2
-1
1
2
etc. Apparently I never looked close enough at the track listing.

Yup, it was no joke. I put negative in quotes because I'd never heard or used the term before. Sorry for the confusion.

My friend Susan was the art director for that box. She has a framed letter from R. Crumb telling her how much he hated the artwork, mainly that it was over the top and unreadable with all the crazy metallic inks and so on. It's pretty funny. How many people can say that have a framed dressing down from someone like him?

That's awesome. Give her a Salut for me for that box. It's amazing. The only thing that even comes close in terms of over-the-top is the Albert Ayler one they put out last year.
