I dropped out of high school but will probably loom around the reunion anyway, just to creep people out.

My wife is going to her 20 year reunion next weekend.

She's already tried her outfit on 1,000 times and has arranged for her old schoolfriend to collect her in his snazzy sports-car so that she can arrive in style, and has probably prepared a stack of the very best photos of the kids to batter her ex-classmates with.

I wouldn't go to mine, assuming I was invited.

Mine was 2 years ago. I didn't go. I'm still in touch with my few close friends from school and have seen most of them in the last year. The rest of my schoolmates can go fuck themselves. If I want to see them I can just go to the same pub they've been drinking in for the last 10 years.

According to 'Friends Re-united' Bob Hoskins was in my year at school.

i went to mine a few years ago (class o' 93). it was better than being in highschool - really good to see some people, amusing to see some others. still felt kind of awkward & socially inept, just like high school, but that passed with beer and recognition that i was way happier/luckier in life than a lot of folks. amazing how many people have kids & divorces under their belts. also amazing how quickly some people have aged & gone to seed...

kind of looking forward to the 15 year one next year.

But that's okay--the only reason I would have gone would be to see how many of the former alpha males grew up to look like John Kruk and spend all their time and money at the sports bar in between a double shift at the machine shop and beating up their 250-pound former cheerleader wives and their six kids.

Not only do I not speak to anyone from high school, but if I ran into any one of those people in the desert, parched and dying of thirst, I wouldn't even piss in their mouth to re-hydrate them.

you and me both...

5 years is coming up for me!

my highschool friends were all walks of life. I was even friends with the highschool quarterback, and basketball star, who nows plays for the Orlando Magic. claim to fame

I wasn't an outsider, but I wasn't popular. from what I noticed, I have a diverse group of friends in highschool. now I have a very few tight friends, most of who I met outside of highschool, and ones we just keep in touch. some I don't talk to anymore, but we catch up when we do.

I might go.

ineligible, dropped out. if i could, i probably wouldn't. all my best friends were a year ahead of me.

i am amazed how many people on this thread hated their peers though. i had no problem with my classmates, in all three high schools, i just hated class. enough to sit in the bathroom or library all day unless i was in photo, theater or lunch. i can't imagine wanting to go back even for a reunion, i actually have nightmares about it at least six times a year (being in school that is).
