The First Band You Really Liked, Honestly
23I remember listening to CCR and ABBA as a young child, but the first album I really wanted, and got, was 'Brother In Arms' (on cassette). I would have been...about 11.

26Queen, 4 years old, thanks to an older sisters record collection. It started out with the original Greatest Hits, I had all the pre-1981 albums by the time I was 10. I still love them.
That dog won't hunt, monsignor.

28Beatles, after seeing them on Ed Sullivan. I guess I was 6.
Then I heard "Satisfaction" and liked The Rolling Stones better.

29Definitely Creedence Clearwater Revival. I used to listen to my uncles albums at my grandma's house, then my uncle sold his stereo to my parents, as well as his record and 8-track collection. Obsessive music listening followed. Definitely CCR.
One of the 8-tracks was the Bay City Rollers and I thought "Saturday Night" had to be the best song ever written. I was in early grade school.

30CCR right here too. my dad gave me Cosmo's Factory and Pendelum when I was about 10. It was some weird thing Fantasy Records had done, they reissued both albums together as a gatefold. They're still my favorite band if I had to pick one. 'Ramble Tamble' is the best song they ever recorded.
