ps I just phoned Anti-Social Behaviour, and a Community Protection Officer is going to come round and see us at some point in the future. No idea what he/she will be able to do, but I suppose I can comfort myself in thinking that it was the right thing to do.

The most effective solution would probably be the riskiest and it would involve knowing at least one really hard person.

Basically, it involves getting said hard person (preferably more than one) then waiting up with the lights out. When mentioned little fucksticks show up for 'play' run out with sticks grab at least one and kick the living fuck out of the cunt.

The chances are they'll never come anywhere near you again. These types of people are usually little emotionally stunted cunts who are only doing stuff cause they know you won't react. Bullies in other words.

The risk of course is they have some hard as nails brother who bounce in the town who'll come round with their mates and do the same to you.

I might be way off, but this seems like a uniquely Britsh thing, I have never heard of something like this happening in the U.S., I mean here you might get mugged or live next to a party house and have to deal with idiot drunk frat dudes, but this long term harassment just dosent seem to happen, I just find it weird...

actally I did for a small strech of time, but I guess I don't look like a homo-student, I guess what I would say is things like people cutting your wires/throwing of eggs that sort of thing just dosen't happen round here, (or maybe my circle of freinds are the toughs, this thought is making me chuckle alot) and yeah jackass nieghbors are all over, but it seems there level of jackass-ness is heighten over in Britan... (or maybe you kids across the pond just bring it up more)

Well, I lived in apartments my whole life, and have never had this happen. A break-in yeah, both car and apartment, but never this kind of targeted harrassment. It hasn't happened to anyone I know either.

Of course, I've never lived in the shittiest neighborhood in Chicago, not the best, but not the worst.

When I was managing apartments stupid feuds/long-term harassment would happen all of the time. There are a lot of crazy bored people out there. One guy would get "pennied" (you shove pennies between the door and the door frame causing the door not to open) into his apartment about once a week. We eventually modified his door frame to prevent this and it soon stopped. People would come home and find their patio covered in dog shit- this one happened all of the time. Sugar in the gas tank, smashed windows, stolen mail, slashed tires, super glued locks- this stuff happens all of the time. Sometimes the victims were assholes and you could kind of see how they might deserve some abuse, but more often than not the victim was a little old woman or some super quiet computer programmer. The only solution is to not live next to easily pissed-off crazy people.
