A hollow Earth?

speaking of the center of the earth... does anyone know what purpose oil has? or if there is any? i wonder this every so often... like, maybe it works with the earth's little engine? and if so, wouldn't that be scary if suddenly the top of the earth and the center of the earth started scratching against each other and then everything stopped? oh man...

also, does lava from volcanos come all the way from the core or thereabout? sorry, i know these are stupid questions.

Lava
Petroleum (I don't think this covers the "purpose" of oil though. Might want to check with god about that...)

oil:
Most geologists view crude oil and natural gas as the product of compression and heating of ancient organic materials over geological time. According to this theory, oil is formed from the preserved remains of prehistoric zooplankton and algae which have been settled to the sea (or lake) bottom in large quantities under anoxic conditions.

I've always wondered that. Like does it lubricate the "joints" of earth, and thus are we giving our planet premature arthritis???

Days 12-14 Once found, travel up Hiddekel River to City of Jehu. *
Days 15-16 Take a monorail trip to City of Eden to visit Palace of the King of the Inner World.
Days 17-18 Return trip back to City of Jehu on the monorail. We will then continue our journey through the North Polar Opening, on board the Yamal, for the return trip home.

* Please note that if we are unable to find the Polar opening, we will be returning via the New Siberian Islands to visit skeleton remains of exotic animals thought to originate from Inner Earth.

So this hollow earth thing is a very Mormon type ish.

A tad out of my price range. I don't think they offer this trip on "The Price Is Right".
