Vista is a bloated CRAP. I am using it at work as a "tester" and it ironically runs better on my Mac hardware via Parallels than it does on a brand new T60 IBM Thinkpad!!

The interface is ugly and dumb, the false "cry wolf" security protocol of "lets ask the end user the same question repeatedly until the message is simply ignored" is completely retarded. Doesn't Microsoft have THE BEST UI Engineers and Human-Interface designers? Well, get new ones, because they are idiots.

And Office 2007, holy stinkpyle. What a log. All they did was change the navigation, make it more confusing, slower, and add XML capability (XML whos only real intention is to keep out non-MSFT products that can't handle .docX and '07 .xls files..)

Slow as mole-asses too unless you have 2GB of RAM and a processor that's no older than six months to a year old.

so my brand new 2gig ram dual core Vista machine crashed to BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH again last night..

not counting but thats about 30 crashes for a PC a few months old w/ barely anything on it.

Ive noticed it crashes when

switching users
trying to bring up task manager

whats really shitty is bringing up task manager doesnt just bring up task manager, unless i am doing it wrong, ctl/alt/delete on every PC ive ever used allows me to bring up task manager from a simple click.

on my vista machine it brings me to the switch user screen, and thats when it crashes...

On the other hand my PC runs Bioshock at 1440p out of the box no bubbles no troubles

Brand new Aero interface which lets you scroll through blue screens, red screens,black screens, security warnings and endless yes or no confirmations, all in eye popping 3D! So true.

It's all bullshit. Both Mac and Win OS's suck and fuck up.
I have a G5 and a home built PC and use them both equally and get frustrated with both of them. No computer is a perfect machine and all that said... I will not touch Vista for another 2 years at least.

Still no problems with Vista.

Cheap as fuck PCs that I can add to here and there when I have the money are the realistic platform for me and so many other people. We are used to being perpetually shat upon by Microsoft. We accept it is part of the deal of being a PC user. If anyone wants to send me a Mac, that is absolutely okay with me.

In the mean-time I will be on my cheap as fuck PC, dilligently waiting for Vista SP1.

You obviously don't know a hell of a lot about Vista.

I use it every day.

Right now for example.

For me, Not Crap.
