Movies you can watch over and over and over...

That film that you can just put on as background noise, then inevitably get sucked in- standing with a buncha stuff in your hands, peeing with the door open, on the phone with someone but completely ignoring them and listening to dialogue that you could recite verbatim because it's settled so comfortably on your brain. That movie. What is/are yours?

(I'm refraining from mentioning mine right now so the thread doesn't become 3 pages of people telling me how shit my favorite flicks are.)

I usually refer to these as my 'go-to' films or 'comfort movies'. It doesn't mean they are my favourite flicks though. A couple maybe, but most are definitely not. Sure, i do love them all but probably my truly favourite movies i can only watch every few years at the most.

My go-to comforts seem to have a really slow rotation. Like maybe there are about 3 at any one time, and every 2 or 3 years one will go to the bench while another steps up to do it's turn. Over the years they have been some of the following :

The Fast and the Furious
Grosse Pointe Blank
Fist of the North Star (anime)
The Longest Yard - Mean Machine
Big Trouble in Little China
Police Story
Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure
You Got Served
Bring It On

...oh and Repo Man obviously.
You're a shit DM and i want my pizza money back.

This is on my list as well as Cronenburg's Videodrome. I fucking love both of those films.
Roy Schieder, Debbie Harry, what more could you want? What was your "bug powder"? I remember smoking some good weed, watching this, listening to music and reading the book "Naked Lunch"... smoking a lil more here and there throughout the day to keep myself nice and stoned until I went to bed. It was my "Marijuana and William Burroughs" day.

Jaws (I have to have seen this over 100 times)
Dawn Of The Dead (see "Jaws")
Lucio Fulci's Zombie
Last House On The Left
Suspiria (was mentioned before)
Demons
Kids In The Hall: Brain Candy
Spaceballs
Kids
The Usual Suspects

Theres ten. I could add many more.

I like finding out what movies people are fond of in this way. Everyone does have them, don't they?

Breakfast At Tiffany's
Repo Man
Freddy Got Fingered
Blow Up (only when it's on TV, oddly)
Color Of Night
Dirty Harry
The Party
The Kids Are Alright
Texas Chainsaw Massacre
C'Etait Un Rendezvous
Umbrellas Of Cherbourg
Je T'aime...Moi Non Plus
Small Change/Pocket Money

The one film above all others that I will watch any time of the day or night is Midnight Run. Just cannot get bored of it.
