i got a seymour duncan little 59 for the bridge position of my tele, and tbh, it's a load of shit.
there's a dude on ebay.co.uk, who handmakes pickups i got some humbuckers from him and they fucking rule.
he makes single coil sized p90's for telecasters. they are actually pretty cheap cost around £30 per pickup or something, so i'd recommend giving them a try, have a search around for catwhiskers.

Yeah, that's the Tele I was talking about. It's Pen Rollings' old Tele that he bought from Mac from Superchunk.
Jesus Christ, why do I know this shit? I'm such a dork.
Anyway, the pickups that he used in his Tele and both of his Les Pauls is the Rio Grande "Bastard," which is their humbucker-sized P-90. I'd imagine that the "Dirty Harry" in a Tele would sound pretty close.

In relation to the Hot Snake sound, I want more 'snicky' blasting through my amp's 'blare'. Does that actually effectively communicate anything?
Yeah, you kind of lost me.
I don't know which album you checked out, but a good chunk of Audit In Progress was recorded with AC30s. I think the majority of their other records were JCM800s.
I spend way too much time on the Swami message board.

23So Ray, what's going on? What did you end up doing? Please tell me you didn't buy an SG. :)
Telecaster-to-humbucker suggestions?
24Nope, no SG. I've been avoiding humbuckers for way too long to stop now...
I'm waiting 'till next week to make my decision (I'll have the scratch then...). So far, it's a toss up between the Lindy Fralin and the Q-Tuner. If I can find any genuine feedback on the latter, that is...all I can find are sales promos and fake reviews.

Have you seen these?

I've been looking into replacing the stock pickup on my tele - it's a re-issue WRH that I don't really like. They seem to be a bit 'hotter' (I think that's the term?) than the Lindy Fralin pickups.
