If Ian Curtis were alive today, they would not have the reputation they currently enjoy. I'm certain of this.

you're right on that reputation thing.

as for a couple good songs, yeah, right on that too. the first half of "still" are the majority of those good songs.

You're just being perverse for the sake of it. That combination is impossible. The odds are too great.

Nope, I actually dislike those three, and I get shit for it all the time so you can say what you will. I've always hated Bowie, and the other two i've always been underwhelmed by.

Granted, the only music I listen to is Killdozer and feedtime pretty much, so perhaps i'm not qualified to even judge who these "Sacred cows" are.

I'm obscenely critical, and I'm not proud of it. If you can be eclectic, here's to you!
Well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

since when is calvin johnson a sacred cow? isn't it common knowledge that he isn't very good.

since Jamboree.
But I digress. Please continue with the squirrel circuit semantic debate.

Quadrophenia has a couple of my favorite Who tracks - songs that are big and lifting and actually have lyrics that aren't uniformly crappy - and a lot of other shit that doesn't need to be there.

Tommy annoys the shit out of me, as does about half of Who's Next.

The thing about The Who is that their albums will always be overrated because their albums are catching reflected glory from their live performances, which kind of made everybody forget about the rest. I mean, Live At Leeds has some songs on it that are just fucking retarded, yet it's an amazing album.
