But it's totally taken off lately, which I wouldn't mind except that it's being used incorrectly (i think). I feel like I hear people call someone a douchebag just because they want to hear themselves say douchebag. So let's kill it right here, to where it's not cool anymore, like Pavement did (tried to do) with Wonderwall!

Additionally: By the same token, I am maddened by teenagers' recent use of the word "awkward." I have yet to meet someone else who has noticed this at all, and it makes me insane. Females under 20 have been saying that every fucking thing is awkward when it isn't and it's making me crazy that a cool and specific word is being co-opted to mean "whatever.."

You're right, Camaro. I guess we should just try to be serene while the Douche-machine blows it's wad around here ? Then again, only 10 people voted pro-d while the thread has had over 400 views.
