I am looking it up on the interweb and what I definately have are bad second degree burns, it seems like I'd be ok if I just put the ointment on it and wrapped it up...keep an eye on it and go if it gets worse or starts to get infected

You might be really sorry if you don't go. I once rolled into the remains of a fire in my sleep and burned the HELL out of my hand. Since no one was around and it was the middle of the night and I had no idea where I was (it was a wilderness survival thing) I had to wait until the next day to get help and it was one of the most miserable experiences with pain that I can ever remember having. I don't have much money but I'd be happy to send you some if you need it. I'd probably just spend it on something worthless anyway. GO TO THE HOSPITAL.
