Moving to Chicago could be the worst move you could ever make.
Could being the operative word.

What?! Who has lived in Chicago and can say it gets cold for one month? Especially to someone coming from florida. It's cold and It's cold alot and then yes it's just like florida hot and humid. I called it population control. It kept the weak out of Chicago which is why Chicago is known for big shoulders and hard workers.

Don't be scared to move to Chicago. The punk scene is alive and kicking and more so then any other city I can think of, probably always will be.

I'm trying to get my boyfriend to move back but he's in the same position of being afraid to start with no name. OHHH how I miss my city!

i'll contend that the winter is cold as fuck, but the summers aren't even comparable to the south. that was reinforced when i visited Texas this summer; holy fuck, how can people live like that?

And I lived in Chicago for 25 years and never got fat. It amazes me that people in Chicago can get fat with all the walking and bike riding you do to get around. But I do concur there are a lot of fat chicks.

Just go you have absolutely nothing to loose you can always move back when things don't work out. And as far as a good scene we have one of the best.

Oh I'm pretty damn sure I'm going.
