Need a new job? We need developers and producers!

Not at the moment, but I'll keep it in mind - sounds like a great place.

Just out of curiosity, are you using any of the JS libs for your DOM scripting - prototype / yui / dojo etc.? I'm working with yahoo's at the moment (YUI) - has some nice features, but there's a bit of a learning curve.

I am a full time audio/video technician at the Chicago Cultural Center.
Being one of the 2 full time guys means I spend most of my day fixing cables, burning cd's of recorded events, and cleaning up after all of the part-time Techs. I also spend a lot of time on the EA forum and play a lot of Zelda on our Protools computer even though it is a No-No.

We have 200 employees and have been in business since 1946, when my grandfather founded this joint.

Working with my family is a source of nearly undending stress. People htink that I get to slack off, show up late and half-ass all the time. The truth is quite the opposite.

It kind of sucks.

The story of my life. No matter how hard you work or how good of a job you do you will always be hated or mistrusted by the rank n' file...which has resulted in many confrontations and I even left and moved out of state for a time. Our shop never had anywhere near 200 employees, though. I can't imagine the horseshit you have to put up with.

My official title is..."Cablecast Team Leader", of which can eat a bag of dicks. I prefer " The Master of MASTER CONTROL!" or Lord Kingshit almighty!

I run the Master control of a local, non-profit, Television Station in Oceanside, Ca. Channels 18 and 19.

My job is to make sure both channels are on the air and playing the proper shows while monitoring my 2 lackeys to make sure they get all the
dubs done for customers.

Everything we do here is hand-coded. Much more fun that way ;)

We design and score standardized tests for public schools. The states we're involved with are Kentucky, Maine, Massachusetts, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, Utah, and Vermont. I'm a Chief Reader, meaning I train and oversee large groups of workers brought in to read and score open response questions - essays, mostly. I'm some sort of writing expert, I guess.

I was one of those readers for a summer. That job was torture.

I, too, spent a couple of summers doing this. I'm hoping that STF's duties are more fulfilling than mine. I hated that job.
