"I Only Have Eyes For You" - The Flamingos.
I was talking about this song with a friend the other day. Nobody writes ballads like this anymore, at least not that I'm aware of. Its got a classy way about the lyrics that's neither straight-forward heart-on-its-sleeve syrupy "I Wuv You" garbage, nor is it overly-complex "personal" poetic drivel that tries too hard to be abstract. The lyrics are a deceptively-simple idea, beautifully expounded on and fully realized.
Not to mention the melody and overall sound of everything. Just haunting.
