The set they did at the T&G Fest was fierce -- as someone said, "twenty-three songs in twenty-five minutes, just like the old days." Brannon is still an amazing howler, no doubt about it. I wasn't able to see the show they did in Detroit a few months later, but a friend of mine whose opinion I trust said it was blazing. Tesco Vee opened, and was reportedly as amusingly embarassing as ever. He's doing Meatmen shows again, by the way.

And I agree with Adam I about American Music Club, their reunion album was excellent.

Oh - and they've got Korn's bass sound now, for some reason.

YES, you are correct. Crispy top, deep bottom Nu-Metal sound. Someone should send a consulting memo to Dave Allen. I really really like G04 and the recent live shows were intense when I was not cringing at the wet-ass Music Man Stingray potato-chip tweeter slap bass tone.

Seconded.

Mission of Burma are great live and on record.

Dinosaur were good live. I wasn't that into the new record.

Everyone else I've kind of ignored. They never come to my town, and they didn't seem worth the drive to Seattle or Vancouver.

I think that was the end of 2006 though.

A guitarist from Naked Raygun has just joined a hardcore punk band with Dan Yemin of (Kid Dynamite, Lifetime) calle Paint It Black. They're actually really good. I'd post a link but computer licks taint and I won't show any text when I right click anything.

THey have some songs from their upcoming album on myspace. Sounds good in my opinion.
