You'll certainly get a good workout without putting on too much distance.
Oh, and my condolences to your balls!

Let us know how you like it, I was looking at the 29er version of this.
I originally ordered the 2007 Solo One SE 29" (as seen above.) When I went to pick it up, they had a 2008 model in stock. Looks basically the same except it is a putrid shade of orange (or copper? Rust?) I said to hell with aesthetics and gave it a spin.
The difference between the two was mind-blowing. The 2008's frame is aluminum as opposed to the all-steel 2007. The '08 is capable of being equipped with gears at some point (probably never going to happen.) And the '07 was over $100 MORE expensive.
I rode about 12 miles this weekend. I love this fucking bike. The color is evening growing on me.

Nice.
How much? I have a KHS dealer here, but they were quoting me at or above list price for anything I would order.

Nah. I had one on for nearly 20 years (not exaggerating) and just realized recently that I
never used it. So I took it off, brakes work a lot better now.

You can always get a piece of derailleur cable housing (linear) from your local bike shop and still do bar spins/tail whips with it, allowing your brakes to work just fine for a spin or two. Brake cable housing is able to be comprassed because the innards are wound not linearly run, like on derailleur housing - which allows for the stiffness needed during shifting.

$550
I forgot to mention that on the '08 you can upgrade to disc breaks if that's your fancy.

Ahhh.....I see.
The "SE" model is cromo frame, disk brakes, etc. The one you got is alum, v-brakes, etc.
That's the one I got a quote on, $599 plus shipping to the shop. I think I'll look at another dealer.
