In case you haven't heard, Matt and David have both been hospitalized in the last week. Matt, with an inflamed, infected and strained heart, had 3 small strokes.
David, in Pittsburgh at the time, suffered a collapsed lung.

That's totally fucked. Poor guys, I hope they get better soon.

I couldn't find it either.

From what I get of comments though, I hope he's going to be okay! I missed him when he played with the Melvins in 2006 and am still beating myself up over it. He must go on!

I spoke to David yesterday, and his lung has re-inflated. It may have been in the process of deflating for a while. The doctors drained fluid from his chest, he says he can breathe fine now and he's going home, but he can't fly for a couple of weeks, so he has to take a train from Philadelphia to LA, which is probably going to be the real bummer.

I would pay several large to accompany him on this trip, and document it.

Just so I could play Scrabble with him again.

And have him beat my ass, again.

I am glad he's doing better.

Sweet. Too bad about the train. Maybe he can meet some new friends on his cross-country journey. It's the beginning of a new adventure!

I never lose at scrabble. I bet I could take him.

great news. i wonder how matt is doing. 'infected heart' sounds incredibly scary. and a stroke any size, let alone 3, is horrible, esp. for a young person.

The level of envy I am feeling at the moment is indescribable. Scrabble AND David Yow. Wow.

Matt looked a little rotund when I met him, but Holy Jesus...three fucking strokes? Yeah, small ones, but they're still strokes!

How is he doing? I'm glad to hear David is recovering.
