Why don't you sit down and write him a very pointed letter?

Cheer up little dude. Most of us have been disillusioned, at some point or another, by our heros. ie. forgot the mayo thompson lp, when JL jumped to a major, Ring Lardner after "Alibi Ike", William Gass after "Omensetter's Luck", Germaine Greer after the unintentional humor found in "The Female Eunuch", William Gaddis after "The recognitions", John Barth after "Giles Goat-Boy", the ramones after "rocket to russia", pynchon after "gravity's rainbow", Evelyn Waugh after "The letters of Evelyn Waugh" compilation '80, when McCartney went downhill after "silly love songs" etc. The list goes on but the beat goes on.

The DIY methodology has shown us that you shouldn't depend on others when you can do it yourself. Carpe diem.

Iggy's done his bit so who cares? He's already changed the face of modern culture...forever. No one should be expected to lay golden eggs forever. ..not even mother goose.

I'm hoping that they chose to do "La Isla Bonita" and invite the under-appreciated James Williamson for the guitar solos.

iggy and the stooges were the support act for madonna when she played here in ireland last year or the year before.

his music has been used in countless ads and i've seen him wheeled out at countless shitty awards ceremonies before to sing 'lust for life'. i'm not going to demonise him for these things but i will say that these actions are not for me. no...not for me.

Seriously Fly, think about Heeby Jeeby's post up there. Iggy's always been one of those artists that gets trotted out by the MSM as an example of "punk," along with Blondie (huh?), Television, The Clash, etc. He may be somewhat of a liberal but he's not a revolutionary. He's a rock star, albeit a fringe one.

Jello Biafra would not be doing this, at least not without some subversive agenda. Actually I wish he would get the DKs back together for a Madonna concert, and then spend the whole time in a ranting monologue, denouncing pop culture and commercialism and the war etc etc.

One of his substance abuse anthems is used in a commercial for a cruise line

1969 was used in a Bud Light commercial

And this RnR Hall of Fame bothers you?

Jeez, let's all rock out to our respective copies of Blah Blah Blah why don't we? We're so concerned with Iggy's integrity.
