Arthur C Clarke RIP

I remember getting into a lot of excited discussions during my early teens about physics, space colonization, and the possibilities of a better future that technology and human progress could promise. This was because my nerdy friends, my brother, and myself all discovered Arthur C. Clarke's work around the same time, at an impressionable age. The man made hard science fiction infinitely more fascinating than corny stories about rebels, stormtroopers, or Klingons could ever hope to be. 2001 still moves me more than 95 percent of the other movies I've seen in my life.

A brilliant man who was visionary, and could inspire the most mundanely minded people, myself included, to imagine a better future. Thanks, and rest in peace.
