I think the distribution of votes is proof of the overall quality.
No votes for Libertine though, surprisingly. There was definitely a time when I would have voted that way. What a solid album. Definitely the best record of the Phelps era.

either It'll Be Cool and Developer following in a close second place though

23I'll vote Libertine.
This is the first one I bought and I still listen to it a lot now.

24Knee-jerk reaction is to say Developer, but I was listening to Italian Platinum the other day and damn...that record is fucking amazing... "The Ram"! "Cockfight of Feelings"!
GODDAMN "BOURBON BEARD"!
Dammit, maybe I'm taking IP

25Lifestlye easily. It was the first record of theirs that I owned and even after giving it a few listens, I didn't really get it until about six moths later. I love when that happens.
But maybe Developer should come to the island instead. I always seem to find something new about that one that I never noticed before. I love when that happens too.
My vote is Lifestyle

26I have listened to New School/Old School more than any other Silkworm album. It's my favorite greatest-hits collection released in the 90's. Great selection, and the reverse-chronology sequencing gives it a coherent flow -- no easy feat given a track listing with "Nerves" and a George Jones cover.
Choosing one Silkworm album at the expense of all others is painful. Italian Platinum is the one I remember liking the most immediately upon its release, but all Silkworm stands the test of time.

Dr. O' Nothing wrote:I own this Silkworm promo CD called New School/Old School (i think) that Matador put together in the early/mid '90s. It has material from most, if not all, of their records up to that point, a couple of covers, a live song...don't have it in front of me rite now, otherwise i'd list the tracks. I do recall it contains, "Cariacture...", "Couldn't u wait", "The Chain (live)
(yes, the fleetwood mac song), a Dylan cover with Malkmus playing on it... { I'm really bad at recalling song titles, even on some of my favorite albums. }
Anyhow, I would take that one. Pretty good track by track liner notes by TM, too.
