I will say that after posting this I read a few of your posts that weren't all over the place. So, I guess I just mean to say some of your posts; a lot of your posts. You post a lot. When I told you what I'm doing this weekend, it wasn't that I was oblivious to your question. I was trying to tell you that I'm not going to let whatever Israel has been up to in recent history fuck my head up to the point that I can't leave the house this weekend. There is absolutely nothing that I, or you, can do to change the goings on in Israel. I'm not going to beat my head against a wall about it. I'm going to try my best to enjoy my tiny little slice of the world, and that currently involves girls and cubs games.

I haven't claimed anything. All I said was that Ranxerox's post made me think. I don't live in Israel. I'm not a zionist. I'm just a guy. When I have felt strongly about something, I've actually done something about it. I didn't have to join the Iraq Survey Group, but I thought that I might actually make a difference in doing so. I was wrong. I have my flaws, but I'm glad that I actually get involved when I'm passionate about something. I joined the Iraq Survey Group to go stumble around the desert looking for lies. I joined Iraq Veterans Against The War because I want to know when there's an anti-war rally that I can go to. It's not much, and I know that, but what can I do? I'm tired of war and want a life where I don't have to think about it, so I avoid scrunitizing the minutia about the war. There's nothing I can do about it anymore. When I have an opportunity to vote in a way that will end it, I will. Obama pledges to remove our soldiers from Iraq. I believe him. I don't care if he sends them all to Afghanistan; that's where the war is supposed to be anyway. I'd reenlist and go to Afghanistan right now if they'd let me.

On a lighter note, a few weeks ago I heard a radio interview with an American who was born in Israel, who has family there, etc . . . a supposed "progressive", working for peace, for a two state solution . . . sounds pretty sane when he speaks . . . a good front man, no doubt.
But then it comes around to the question of why he thinks a two state solution is required. Well, that's because there's no other way Israel can survive as an exclusively JEWISH, democratic state.
So no matter how reasonable this guy sounds, he's really just one or two panic attacks away from free-form, zionist perpetrated genocidal madness.

The problem here is not "how do the two groups peacefully coexist". The problem is the nation-state of Israel itself. The problem is a state founded upon the fascist ideal of blood and soil, the homeland, etc. Zionism is a relic, and a dangerous one at that. The Israeli's should know that better than anyone. In the twenties and thirties the European jews who were fortunate came to America, where they now lead relatively peaceful lives. The others had to go to Palestine, which is now the most dangerous place in the world for a jew to reside. Some homeland.
