Is that the Damen one? I agree that baby rocks hard. I've fallen over a few times up there while intoxicatedly ridding my byke.

My best experience with earthquakes was during the 2006 christmas week out in the bay area when I laughed my ass off through 3 earthquakes while high.

I happened to still be awake, tirelessly working on recorded-media-file-a-thon 2008...

I had a few brief flashing thoughts like did a cat just jump and land hard on that shelf to make it wobble there, or damn that must be a wicked wind blowing outside to shake the building so.

Then I instantly remembered that I was lying out prone on the concrete basement floor, and everything, floor included, was trembling...

Then I got just a teensy bit queasy.

Nothing fell off of any shelves (which, knowing my luck, quite surprised me as I had just a few minutes prior done a horribly teetering vertical stack of CDs as a temporary move), but my skinny, really-shitty-high-center-of-gravity speakers did wobble back and forth, but did not fall over (yay).

I slept through it. I think that the building could collapse around me and it wouldn't wake me up.
