I don't know who is more "precious" but . . .
the music of Belle and Sebastian takes place in a universe where there are blowjobs.
the music of the Decemberists takes place in a universe where there are no blowjobs, only back issues of literary magazines. it is English lit grad school rock. fuck them.

The first two Belle and Sebastian albums are great, nothing wrong with those records.
