kinky is often used by the sort of people who announce upon meeting them for the first time that they are crazy or wacky.

When I lived in Austin, Kinky tipped me five bucks for a shot of espresso he didn't even have to pay for. I ran into him on the street a couple of years later and thanked him again. He gave me a guitar pick.

A friend of mine told me a story about how Kinky and Bob Dylan angered Elliot Gould and Barbera Streisand at a party because Gould and Streisand were dating at the time and Kinky and Dylan were mocking some hit she had at the time.

That's a story about four jews at a party, in case you should ever need one come passover or something.
