Thank you, JOL.

Is this sarcastic? Because your tone here is that you were hoping your family would die. Which is actually quite funny to me. I'm sure that's not what you meant, but thanks for the unintended chuckles.

My tone? How is this sarcastic? We were on our way to Niagra Falls and some guy in the final stages of cancer nodded out (permanently) and hit us head on. My dad get multiple breaks and fractures, my mom had her seatbelt halfway on at that moment and her skull splinters the windshield into a million pieces and the strain from my brother's lap belt means that his 5yr old body won't fully digest a meal for several hospital-bound months to come. I had taken my seatbelt off to tie my shoe and got away with a minor scar on my forehead. Our terrier wound up in what was left of the front seat and even waited to get outside to piss and shit all over the place. In the meantime, I'm freaking out because we are trapped in a car that has streams of gasoline shooting from it.

THANK YOU, JAWS OF LIFE!

And fuck you, asshole EA poster. How's my sarcasm now? Fuckin dickhead..

Relax guy. You said:

The Jaws of Life saved my family... That was a shitty day.
Which could've been taken to mean that it was shitty because your family was saved.

It sounds like an awful ordeal, but could've been taken in a much funnier\sarcastic way without the full story.

Thanks, Tom. That's precisely what I meant. You said it was a shitty day immediately after you mentioned that your entire family was saved. I figured that your tone wasn't sarcastic, but it sorta sounded like it could be. Hence,

Clearly, you shouldn't be offended. Sorry that you are friend, but for what it's worth, even though I don't know you, I'm glad you and your family escaped that shitty situation alive and relatively intact.

It could have been taken to mean that but only to some smug turd safely perusing a message board with little concept of reality. I guess I allowed for that with my grim post. Sorry, guy.

You're saying that I could have just laughed at this guy's injecting sarcasm into my post considering the subject? Be sure to post when fluffy, sparky or even Grandma kicks. I'll remove the implied meaning from your post, flip it around and make a bad joke out of it. I'll get a "chuckle" out it too. Oh, but "I'm sure it's not what you meant."

Clearly, you're an insular douche who has never been in a serious accident or has been raised by the state (?). Let's see how witty you feel when you are hearing that repetitive grinding and clashing of metal a couple feet from your head while slowly gaining consciousness. You might not be able to see it from the blood in your eyes or the fact that you might not be able to turn your head for whatever reason but don't worry. Someone will take pictures and you can have a good knee-slap session later...provided the car doesn't go up in flames. Then, maybe a charred finger-tapping session.

...or I'm a guy who can find humor where others can't.

I guess if your mother was raped by a priest at an S.A. support group I could "find humor" in that.

Sure, if I said something like 'Man, that reminds me of the day my mom was being raped by a priest at an S.A. support group and someone came in and put a stop to it. What a shitty thing to do!' Could you not see how my verbiage could be twisted around to make it seem that I meant that I thought it a bad thing that someone stopped my mom from being raped?

I think maybe you think I'm laughing at what happened to you and your family. I'm not. What gave me a chuckle was how you worded your original post.

This can only be take one way though. The previous could be technically taken either way but it's pretty certain that it's not meant to be the way you twisted it. Just don't pull this little semantic magic trick out at a party b/c whatever girl you are working on might give you a look of disgust and get a ride home from someone else.
